FECA is established in 1971 and subsequently amended Presidential Election Campaign Fund Act. Thereafter it was further amended a Presidential Primary Matching g Payment Account Act. Additional provisions of United Stated States Code also provided and FECA Section numbers also converted to United States Code. The contribution under the code has been defined and accordingly any gift, subscription, loan, advance or deposit of money which influences the election for Federal Office known as Contribution.
While making donations to the political campaign, the individuals must know legal limits according to Federal Campaign Finance Law. The representatives of the Candidate’s campaign committee should be aware about the laws FCFL. Accordingly, a limit is fixed as $2,400 per election to a federal candidate. The general election, primary and runoff counted as separate election. The fund of $5,000 can be given in the case of state, district and local party committee per calendar year. In case of fund to such committees, at about $10,000 can be donated. Whereas at national level, $30,400 per year can be donated to a party’s national committee.
Certain individuals, businesses and associations are prohibited from making contributions to federal candidates or political committees. In fact, foreign nationals cannot contribute to any candidate whether he/she may be federal, state or local election in the United States. However foreign citizens who have permanent US residency status i.e. green card holders are allowed to contribute. The federal contractors also prohibited from contributing to candidates or parties during federal elections.
Interestingly, the corporations and labor unions also prohibited from contributing. It applies to all incorporated organizations, profit or non-profit. Business owners not allowed making contribution from business. However, the corporations and labor organizations have another route through establishing PACs to do such expenditure or contribution. More than $100 through cash is prohibited from contribution. It means only citizens of United States individuals should make political contributions. Besides, contributions in another name are not permitted.
What laws do republicans believe in?
The Republicans believe that every innocent human being born or unborn has inalienable right to life. In case of any law opposing the conception of natural death should be opposed. Accordingly, the U.S. and Minnesota constitutions should be amended to restore legal protection to the livers of innocent human beings from such conception of natural death. Republicans believe protection of public safety, strengthening the Rule of Law and protecting the natural resources etc.
